Series 6 - Soon Gone: A Windrush Chronicle

Soon Gone: A Windrush Chronicle is a brand new series beginning on Sunday 17th February on BBC Four.

Some of the finest British actors, writers and directors, each with a personal connection to the Windrush legacy, tell the story of the Afro-Caribbean community in modern-day Britain, through a series of fifteen minute monologues.

The first monologue, ‘Eunice’, is written by SNS Online returnee, Carmen Harris. Carmen joins us to talk about this very significant time in British history, and expand on her episode that launches the series.

“Can love overcome fear? Can Perseverance overcome ignorance and racism? What does it cost to belong? Soon Gone: A Windrush Chronicle challenges our collective understanding of what it means to be part of the Afro-Caribbean community in modern-day Britain.” – BBC press release.
